Sweetgrass is sacred and allows us to connect to Mother Earth.
It represents strength, resilience, peace and purity. It has been used in Ancestral ceremonies, medicines and perfumes/incense. For over 300 years my Gullah Geechee Ancestors has used sweetgrass to create baskets not only just for art, but storing and carrying their crops and food. This apothecary is named in honor of the blood that flows through my veins and my indigenous heritage.
