Jo Von Ogygia-Onile, Soul Midwife
Alchemist & Certified Reiki Master, Tekina Ogygia (They/Them)
Jo Von brings a whole life approach to their work as a Soul Midwife. Their midwifery journey has been intense, healing, and immensely beautiful yet it has not even reached its peak. Jo Von's journey into Soul Midwifery started after taking care of their late Father for the last year of his life in 2015. After spending years doing shadow work to heal their inner child wounds they were able to accept their Ancestral gifts and set fully into their power. After years of working as Chef Instructor, Alchemist and Reiki Master, in 2020 they suffered a life-threatening injury due to hospital negligence and had to undergo 2 years of intense physical therapy to regain their physical independence. Due to the injury, Jo Von was diagnosed with multiple chronic illnesses, but refused to continue taking Western medicine for pain management after a month. While recovering they obtained knowledge in herbalism to help naturally bring pain relief and aid reducing inflammation. Afterwards they were able to help others honor where their own healing journey and help them to transition slowly from Western medicine to Holistic Pain Management.
Jo Von is a Soul Midwife, High Priestess, Certified Reiki Master of multiple modalities, Alchemist, and Metaphysical practitioner with a specialization in Ancestral trauma and Inner child work. They graduated from the CNA program at OTech Ogden-Weber Technical College. They are currently working to obtain their prerequisites for their Nursing degree. Their goal is to become a Adult/Gerontology Acute Care Nurse Practitioner. They believe that this life is not meant to be easy, but it is also not meant to be filled with sorrow, paying bills, and loneliness. Individuals deserve to live a life surrounded by love, abundance, and joy and heal in love. This is the journey of Soul Midwifery and the one thing that is constant in life is birth, change, and death. In their soul garden, they work with their clients to honor their healing, face all of themself and honor each part of their clients being that has contributed to what makes them who they are."
